AM-17 Single Ear Headworn Mic
The AM-17 is possibly the most comfortable ear piece to wear for most of my clients. It also stays put better than most of its’ competition and it is also a little less delicate than some. What really brings me back to it is the performance and value. The AM-17 is slightly less expensive than some of its competitors, yet I spend a lot less time fooling with it to get it right. I usually just turn it on, roll it off appropriately for the system and it works every time. There seems to be a low frequency warmth from this microphone that I can’t quite explain. It sounds very natural to me. The ear piece itself is made of a very comfortable plastic, fits very well over the ear and gives the microphone a little counterbalance to stay put. After you bend the element to where you need it, there is a little standoff that not only lets the wearer know where it is but, acts as a sweat bead standoff so moisture won’t collect toward the element. If you are looking for an accurate, controllable, onstage headset microphone that is very affordable, you need to consider this one. Yes, I like this microphone a lot.
